Joy

Listen: This is the sound of joy. It is so very bright, like the sun on a summer day. But, if you listen carefully, you may notice something thumping in the distance.

Now listen: The joy is there no more. The light breaks into many little stars, and they erratically whizz by in every direction. You feel the need to catch them, but something tells you that you shouldn’t. You watch them whizz by. It’s nice. It’s soothing.
